Manthey clinches the 2025 DTM team championship title prematurely
With 357 points, Manthey, with drivers Ayhancan Güven (Turkey), Thomas Preining (Austria) and Morris Schuring (Netherlands), wins the 2025 team championship.
In the penultimate race of the season at the Hockenheimring, Thomas Preining secured a victory and Morris Schuring claimed third place, earning the decisive points to extend the lead over the chasing teams to more than 46 points – a gap that cannot be closed in the remaining final race. This means that Manthey is already confirmed as team champion before the end of the season. Ayhancan Güven rounded off the successful team result with fifth place in Saturday's race.
The team from Meuspath had already taken the lead in the championship after the first two races of the season, regained the lead during the series' guest appearance in Zandvoort (NL) and has not relinquished it since. Six wins and four further podium finishes this season so far are the results of a strong team performance.
Following the triumph in 2023, when Manthey EMA won the team championship on their DTM debut with Porsche, this is now Manthey's second team title in the sprint series.
