EMA Motorsport heads to the Nürburgring for NLS8

EMA Motorsport will return to GT3 racing later this month with confirmation of entry into the penultimate round of the NLS championship in Germany. After a successful European debut with the Porsche 911 GT3 R at the TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa, the team heads to the formidable Nürburgring-Nordschleife for the latest event on the calendar, the PAGID Racing 46. DMV Münsterlandpokal. The team will be supported by Porsche endurance experts Manthey, while driving duties will be shared between the formidable Pro line-up of Dennis Olsen (NOR) and Matteo Cairoli (ITA).

The Australian team will take on its first event at the famous German circuit as it continues to build knowledge and experience, working with Manthey who will run the ‘Grello’ Porsche 911 GT3 R alongside EMA Motorsport.

The NLS, or Nürburgring Langstrecken Serie, takes place on the affectionally nicknamed ‘Green Hell’ – the combined 24.358km (15.1 miles) layout of the Nordschleife ‘northern loop’ and the sprint track of the Grand Prix circuit. NLS8 takes place on 22 October 2022.

Driver bios -

Dennis Olsen
Dennis Olsen joins the team with strong experience of both the Porsche 911 GT3 R and of the Nordschleife. The 26-year-old Norwegian secured the Carrera Cup Germany title in 2017 and has campaigned in the NLS competition every year since 2018. Other notable successes include both Bathurst 12 Hour and Intercontinental GT Challenge titles in 2019, and he has scored a podium at the Daytona 24 Hours earlier this year ahead of a debut DTM campaign with a race win and two podiums.

Matteo Cairoli
Italian Matteo Cairoli brings a wealth of endurance knowledge, racing extensively with Porsche since winning the Carrera Cup Italy in 2014. At 26 years old, Matteo has campaigned with the brand in GTE and GT3 competition globally, including the GT World Challenge Europe, World Endurance Championship and European Le Mans. He has also contested the NLS championship since 2015, and claimed victory at the Nürburgring 24 Hour event last season.

EMA Motorsport startet beim achten Lauf der Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie

EMA Motorsport kehrt noch in diesem Monat in den GT3-Rennsport zurück und hat die Teilnahme am achten Lauf der Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS) in Deutschland bestätigt. Nach einem erfolgreichen Europadebüt mit dem Porsche 911 GT3 R bei den TotalEnergies 24 Stunden von Spa geht es für das Team zum vorletzten Rennen des NLS-Kalenders, dem PAGID Racing 46. DMV Münsterlandpokal, auf die legendäre Nürburgring-Nordschleife. Unterstützt wird das Team von den Porsche-Langstreckenexperten Manthey, während sich die Fahrer Dennis Olsen (NOR) und Matteo Cairoli (ITA) das Cockpit des Neunelfers teilen.

Es ist das erste Rennen auf der berühmt-berüchtigten deutschen Rennstrecke für das australische Team und sie arbeiten bei diesem Einsatz mit Manthey zusammen, um weitere Erfahrungen bei europäischen Langstreckenrennen zu sammeln. Das Meuspather Team setzt zeitgleich den unter Fans bekannten „Grello“ Porsche 911 GT3 R ein.

Alle Rennen der Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie werden auf der 24,358 Kilometer langen Kombination aus Nordschleife und Kurzanbindung des Grand-Prix-Kurses ausgetragen. Der achte Lauf des Langstrecken-Championats findet am 22. Oktober 2022 statt.

Fahrer-Biografien

Dennis Olsen
Dennis Olsen hat bereits viel Erfahrung im Porsche 911 GT3 R und auf der Nordschleife sammeln können. Der 26-jährige Norweger sicherte sich 2017 den Titel im Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland und fährt seit 2018 bei Langstreckenrennen auf der Nordschleife. 2019 gewann Dennis die Fahrerwertung der International GT Challenge. Einen seiner bislang größten Langstrecken-Erfolge feierte er im selben Jahr mit dem Gesamtsieg im Porsche 911 GT3 R beim 12-Stunden-Rennen von Bathurst. In diesem Jahr ging er beim 24h Rennen in Daytona an den Start und beendete das Rennen auf dem dritten Platz, bevor er sein Debüt in der DTM mit einem Rennsieg und zwei Podiumsplätzen gab.

Matteo Cairoli

Der Italiener Matteo Cairoli bringt eine Fülle von Langstreckenerfahrung mit, da er seit seinem Sieg im Porsche Carrera Cup Italien im Jahr 2014 viele Rennen mit Porsche bestritten hat. Mit seinen 26 Jahren hat Matteo Cairoli mit der Marke weltweit an GTE- und GT3-Wettbewerben teilgenommen, darunter die GT World Challenge Europe, die World Endurance Championship und European Le Mans Series. Seit 2015 nimmt er auch an der NLS-Meisterschaft teil und hat in der vergangenen Saison das 24-Stunden-Rennen auf dem Nürburgring gewonnen.
